We continue to receive reports of scammers spoofing the First National Bank phone number and contacting customers while pretending to be members of our Fraud Department.

These callers may:

• Claim that your online banking account has been locked and offer to help reset your password.
• Ask for your account number, User ID, password, or other personal information.
• Say they have a “badge number” to appear more legitimate. (Please note: First National Bank employees do not use badge numbers.)
• Use caller ID that appears to display First National Bank’s phone number.

How to Protect Yourself

• Never share your account number, Social Security number, User ID, password, or one-time security codes over the phone unless you initiated the call to a trusted bank number.
• Do not send money, purchase gift cards, or transfer funds at the request of an unexpected caller.
• If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate, simply end the call and contact First National Bank directly using the phone number listed on our website or the back of your debit card.
